Has anyone designed a logo for their program? What’s the best way to do it? Apps or websites or software? The logo needs to be in .pdf or vector eps (I have no idea what that is 😂).

I created 2 logos for schools that they still use and helped create a 3rd that is still in use (me and the trainer). I am not very technically savvy, so I used Microsoft Paint. One of the ones I created was honestly just a rip off of a current logo that I changed colors and added the school name. The best one I did was a Frankenstein of a whole bunch of individual parts that I put together and put in school colors. It was a very painstaking, annoying process, but I must have done something right as they are still in use. One of the local TV stations still uses my old ones (I think both places have had vendors clean them up and refine them as they look a little different in some places I've seen them). It's pretty amusing to me when they play each other and both of those logos are on the screen together. PS- I had no Paint experience before undertaking this other than playing on it at computer displays at Best Buy and Sam's Club. I think the saved in bitmap format, but you used to be able to change what format you wanted to save them in.

I have gone to the guy that did all the printing for our cloth with a logo that I liked and asked them to if they could come up with something similar for my team. As long as I bought a certain number of items with the logo it didn't cost me anything for the design (I think it was 25 t-shirts) They have artist that do that and they will send you a copy to approve before they print it. Don't be afraid to tell them what you think or what you like and dislike, it is there job to make it look the way you want.

I've heard Canva is a good tool for logo creation, and I believe educators can get a free account.
