Haven't been on (consistently) in quite a while, so I hope everyone is doing well.
I wondered if anyone would be willing to share their off-season QB program OR tell me where I could find a worthwhile resource? I've done a few Huey searches and couldn't find anything.
I've also done Google searches, but the ones I've found are paid sites, and they just don't give enough information for me to decide if paying the money is worth it. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

Through the year: January- stretch and elbow/shoulder pre-hab Feb.- cont. from Jan. and 6 days of throwing- emphasis on mechanics March- cont. Jan, and 8 days of throws- emphasis on mechanics related to routes=. 3 days include film study April- 10 days of throws- work around or with baseball and track (volume changes if they are throwers in other sports) lots of routes on air..concepts. 5 days include film study May- 8 days of throwing..full speed route combo's/reads. 2 film days June- Our team camp, college camps, 3 nights of open field, 2 film sessions, one 7 on 7. July- O/D install camp, 3 nights of open field, encourage Jeff Trickey Camp, 2 7 on 7's
As far as what actually gets done- Our BIG 3- Balance, I's, Gains... We work lots of easy throws with great tech. and balance. We start working on controlling defenders with our eyes from pre-snap to delivery. And through it all we try to emphasis that we will get yards by taking what they give us. Take what they give you Leave No doubt Live to play another down

I'm more of a "have them play basketball or wrestle or do track or play baseball" to work on their physical development. Assuming your coaches of other sports have the kids lifting and having to improve their size/strength/speed, that part can be done for you.
I use a "QB School" template for the playbook stuff I need them to learn. I've got copies of them. PM me you email address and I'll send to you.

I vigorously push them toward other sports as well. I will PM you as the info you've shared with me in the past has been golden. Thanks again Case.

QB Development Program: Winter: Play basketball or wrestle. Get in the wt room. Spring: Play basketball or track & field (or join the golf team) Get in the wt room. Summer: Get in the wt room and be at OTAs. Play summer baseball if that's what they do, but be at team stuff too.
My two best QBs were three sport athletes. If either would have been told you can only play one sport they would have chosen baseball. I was fine with that. They loved football too. One starter shunned summer basketball and only did wt room and summer baseball. Didn't even see him at 7on7. But we only threw 35 passes all season so missing 7on7 didn't really hurt him/us.
The latter of the two made the big 7on7 tournament but not the weekly league. However he was at the wt room 3x a week all summer.

QB's do a lot of other things besides throwing.
They need to make a GREAT FAKE handoff because someone on the defensive side of the ball is watching them, and QB acceleration away from a play side occupies a DB.
Besides throwing, they need to learn the offense...read defenses...understand structure of secondaries...and develop leadership. The team has to be able to trust the QB.
Forcing a kid to be involved in only one sport and making him just throw a football during an entire off season is a bad thing. If you just LOVE Wheaties (the breakfast of Champions) and that's fine...but if it's the only thing you have to eat, you get tired of it. The same happens with being involved in only one sport activity.
IMHO the best QB off season program is to get them to play other sports. Kids want to go outside and play. It's what kids do!

I think the answer to this question depends on the state you live in. In MN and most upper midwest states we are not going to be allowed to "do football" with the players in the winter and spring. We have seen a lot of supposed QB gurus pop up lately who charge kids. Whatever, fine. I have yet to see their option drills on social media yet or drilling faking.

The stretch/elbow-shoulder work is done through the strength coach (does the same stuff with baseball kids). The throwing days are athlete led usually Sunday's or early morning...we try to have them record themselves to evaluate mechanics. We closely supervise when routes start more for injury prevention. We are behind this season by 2 days already for Feb. due to long road trips for basketball/hockey and wrestling so we have cancelled a early morning and a Sunday.
