What are the best ideas for things to give to kids as they graduate the program? Our team did coins last year, heard of some doing watches, what other things do kids want? Thought about making a T-Shirt with their impressive record (21-4) over the past 2 seasons (When the new HC arrived), just want to give them something they'll use or keep. My HS coach took us to a college football game after our season, might do that next year. I coach WR's if it matters

The T-shirt idea is good if a class does indeed have enough success/accomplishments to justify listing them. We simply have all underclassmen contribute money (how much depends on size of senior class) and our managers put together gift baskets for them. We also have a photographer volunteer to make posters of each senior that are on display at the game field for the majority of the season and then they keep those as well.

We do the poster thing wolverine mentioned above, I also buy them a gift. A leather key chain with the coordinate points for our stadium on 1 side and a phrase _______________ will always be home. One the other.

Our graduating seniors get one of their games jerseys (they all get the same one; they decide which one). They also get a picture plaque that contains an action photo, name, number, position, and team accomplishments (wins/losses, titles, etc). They receive these at the team banquet which is usually held sometime within two weeks after the season ends.

Along with the coin idea, if a player successfully completes 4 years with the team they get the coin and the coin gets them into any regular season home game for life, present it like a ticket at the gate. I think it's a cool idea that carries over for a long time. Just make sure to get approval as some schools/business offices might not like the lost revenue.

We give the seniors their game jersey, photo football with their name and picture, framed picture from senior night, and senior banner. Plus I give them a new helmet decal. Most put the decal on their car. We used to collect rejected helmets over the years and paint and decal them and give those out, but I stopped that when I became the HC.

Poster of themselves and the team is good. I also like mini helmets. Those have been a hit. They can keep the decal off their helmet. Not truly a "gift" per se but also a big deal. I played my last HS game in 1994 and still have the decal from my helmet. (I have my helmet too shhhh!)
I have never given the coin, but I think that is a wonderful idea, and I think I would go so far as to have it in writing that it gets them in for any regular season game whether I was still coaching there or not.

We give the seniors:
A huge senior poster A chrome dog tag necklace with their name, position, and team logo/motto
Every senior that has finished during my tenure has the same exact necklace. It's like their secret handshake.

I made plaques of the rejected helmets. I've posted that on here before. With the price of wood today and brass plates it won't be as cheap as it once was but still a cool gift.

The mini helmets from the decal company was loved by a group I had at one time... it comes in glass case and can be put on desk or case

We give them a helmet, one that is going out of use, gut it and put our Logo on one side and number on other and then put any awards on a laminated paper on the inside. They also get a custom poster. Hardest part is getting photos of the athletes that don't get many game reps.

Hardest part is getting photos of the athletes that don't get many game reps. That's something to put down on the preseason to do list: get student/faculty/coach/etc photographer... to get several photos of player # X, Y, & Z early on in the scrimmages/practices/game day coming out of the locker room/tunnel/etrc.... You know who those cats are that aren't going to play.
