I had the pleasure of seeing Terry Eidson, DC at De La Salle, this past weekend. Absolutely great. Just finished "When the Game Stans Tall", I got the impression that Edison would be awesome to hear. Anyone ever heard Ladacour (Sp)?

At the clinic they had us feel out evaluation forms rating the speakers we saw. I was wondering if you know if those numbers are available in any way or was that just for the Glazier personal. My guess is just for the Glazier people, but it would be interesting to see those results.

I will say this... For those of you who ever had the luck to hear former FAMU HC Billy Joe speak at a clinic you'll know why he's hands-down my favorite. Possibly the most entertaining speaker I've ever heard. WHAT'S HIS LAST NAME, THOUGH! ;D

WHAT'S HIS LAST NAME, THOUGH! ;D Joe. That was meant to be sarcasm. My dad use to say, "Never trust a man with two first names." He was joking, too!

Willingham was great - lots of good program-building ideas. Pat Hill was hysterical - the kind of guy you really want to go have some beers with and talk football Tedford had a lot of good QB-coaching ideas. And it also made it more amusing when he threw a ball to someone in the crowd and it nailed him in the face and broke his glasses. Must have been a line coach or something

I spent a couple of hours listening to TS Mcferrin at a recent clinic. Very good speaker who presents on his program organization. He covers the little things that go into making a program successful. He offers a power point of his presentations for a couple of bucks; well worth it.

Just got back from a clinic road trip and listened to Chuck Heater from Florida. Great presentation and info.
Also Ron Collins from Colorado was outstanding. I'd put those 2 up among the ones I've enjoyed most, though none can top John Wooden.

It is probably the best $10 a coach could spend. It covers absolutely everything! Great speaker with great info.

Anyone seen T.S. McFerrin? I heard him at the Sac Glazier clinic. Good speaker, goes off on some tangents. Kind of lost me (and most of the room) when in the first part of his talk he announced that his booster club raised 190 grand this past year... When you're talking to a lot of guys who are strugglin with California's budget cuts, we don't need to hear how you're rollin in it...

I just attended the NIKE COY clinic in CT. I think the best speaker was Greg Toal from Don Bosco Prep in NJ. He gave some great info we could use at the high school level.

Someone young and on the uprise is Tim Cross from the University of Minnesota (Defensive Line). Very well prepared presentation. He tried to motivate the coaches in his audience treating us like if we were his players. He was hilarious, passionate and informative, although he's not yet that experienced.

Last weekend I attended my first ever clinic (Glazier). I loved it and there was some really good presenters there and there was some presenters that had great information, but was not really the greatest speaker. My question is: who has been some of your favorite speakers? who would you like to see speak? why? what did they cover? My favorites from this past weekend, was Bliase Winter and Dave Cisar. Bliase was an animal you could tell he loved every second of what he was doing. First saw him speak on hand use on the line using martial arts and then motivation. If you do go see him DONT SIT IN THE FRONT ROW! If he uses you to "Volunteer" you will fill it in the morning. Dave had some great information and presented it very well. I am really disappointed I did not see more of him. I messed up the time he was speaking. Actually did that twice. If you go to a glazier clinic make sure you plan ahead on who you want to see. With so many speakers and sessions it is easy to get times mixed up. I've commented here but haven't mentioned my favorites. I had to think because I've seen a lot of speakers in my 28 years of coaching. My favorites were Milt Tenopir and Frank Solich when they were at Nebraska. Best presentation I've ever seen. When one spoke the other ran the projector and passed out handouts. All business and very informative. Very well organized. Another great duo that I saw were thingy Verneil and Sid Gilman speaking on the passing game. It was as good as it sounds. My only regret is that I was young and not ready to understand everything that I was hearing. A lesser-known and more recent guy was Rich Manello of Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He spoke on the running game and explained himself very well both strategically and techniquely. Learned a lot.

Coach Rick Trickett, O-line coach at Florida State. I saw him at a clinic while he was at W. Virginia, he is hilarious. He had been real animated the day before their spring scrimmage and I thought there'd be no way he'd use the same language or be so hard on the players in front of all the parents and fans. It didn't change one bit, he threw his hat at a big o-lineman, hit him in the facemask and called him a big ugly mo-fo and this was just during warm-up drills. Don't agree with his tactics, but he was interesting to watch......
Also Bob Stoops, Dan Hawkins, Mike Cassity and got some great info and drills from Mike Munchak at a TN Titans clinic quite a few years ago...........

Darrell Hazell, Ohio State's WR coach/assistant haed coach was probably the most impressive coach on an individual position I've seen. His flight came in late and he did 3 straight sessions with almost no break and it was unbelievable. There weren't many people there because of the time switch, it was truly worth the wait though. I still can't believe he isn't a HC somewhere.
I found Kerry Combs from Colerain High School entertaining in large part because of the world of difference between the world of coaching where he is and where I am.
I'm glad everyone is talking up Slack because I'm going to catch him at Chicago. I loved his DVD's.
