Game day for us is tomorrow. Supposed to be about 24 degrees with winds gusting up to 30mph. Doesn't get any better!

Am I the only one here who saw the subject and thought the question was about whether we were personally still playing?

Am I the only one here who saw the subject and thought the question was about whether we were personally still playing? Not at my age.

lost in the Semis tonight....f#cking depressing... Fortunately I've been to the quarter finals, counting this year, 16 times. The playoffs are such a cruel mistress. Losing in the semis sucks, b/c you're so close. BUT, like I tell the young coaches on staff, be sure to enjoy it regardless of the outcome. There are so many good coaches out there that don't get to even sniff that level of success. When you get to the semis, you competed against a team at the top of the rung.

12-1. First conference championship since 1976. Most wins in school history. County champs for the 4th straight year. Great season. Hate it ended.

Am I the only one here who saw the subject and thought the question was about whether we were personally still playing? Oh, I'm still playing: Solitaire, trivia. Played in an old-boys rugby game about ten years ago. Won't make THAT mistake again.

Am I the only one here who saw the subject and thought the question was about whether we were personally still playing? Oh, I'm still playing: Solitaire, trivia. Played in an old-boys rugby game about ten years ago. Won't make THAT mistake again. In 2005, at the age of 29, I allowed my wrestling team to talk me into entering a summer open tournament. When I was a kid the "open" heavyweights were all old, fat out of shape dads. I thought, sure, it'll be fun. I had just lost 80 pounds and taken up running.. I trained some, ran some and continued lifting. I weighed in at 280. The next oldest guy was 24 and 250 solid pounds and in shape. The other two guys were college wrestlers and one of them had placed in D3 the previous year and was like 6'4 and 260. I couldn't move my neck for a week after it. I did place 2nd despite getting physically destroyed. Went 1-2, but got 2nd on a tiebreaker as I was the only person with a pin.

We didn't come out on top yesterday either. Great season though. Nobody expected us to be there. We were the underdogs most weeks playing one of the toughest schedules in the state. Maybe even THE toughest schedule.

We got pounded in the state finals. The team we lost to is top 10 nationally, suffice it to say we are not.
