Does anyone do anything special for players on senior night? I know for big schools this is probably hard because of so many seniors but looking for something to give to players from coaches possibly?

We do a senior poster that is professionally done. We don’t give it to them until the end of the season. For senior night we introduce all of the seniors as starters and their parents run through the tunnel with them. Some parents get into it and have a lot of fun with it.

Whatever you decide to do do it pre-game not at halftime.

Was at a place once that did Sr night before week 1. Was an interesting idea, and I didn't hate it. What I did find interesting was the kids who were playing for the first time walked out and got recognized before ever playing a single snap. That was kinda weird.

previous stop that had a great run in several post seasons..... last practice/walk through before the the last home game.... underclassmen lined up on the field near the home stands, seniors came out at the gate were we 'ran down the hill' like Clemson does.... each senior gets a big announcement from the PA guy with all his accolades/coaches'praises/accomplishments/etc... they get hugged up by all their boys and the coaches and at the end of the line they get their jersey from the HC.
Every senior was treated the same regardless of whether they ran the show or were bench warmer. The PA gushed over everyone and the big climatic moment was getting their jersey from the HC.

Smaller schools around here often do a parent night when all parents and players are honored. When I was a HC we did that, but I held the seniors until the end and made it as special as I could for them.
In terms of what we did when I was at a larger school (we had 25 seniors last year) the PA announcer called their name and they walked onto the field with parent(s).
As a program we did a poster of the seniors in the pre-season so it could be displayed at all home games.

Most schools around here recognize and introduce the seniors and their parents before kickoff, similar to announcing homecoming Queen and court. When I played at my school, they gave me a corsage to hand to my mom during the ceremony. Even at a big school (2k+ in my area), this usually doesn’t take all that long if it’s organized well.

That's how we did our Parents' Nights at schools I coached. One year we were having a so-so season (finished 5-4), Senior Night was last game (end of October) and it was cold and rainy. When parents came down to be introduced there was maybe a dozen people left in the stands, most of them kids.

In Southern California, almost every school I know of does a brief ceremony before the last regular season home game where each senior is briefly announced with their parent(s). Since it can cause a distraction and change the pre-game routine, some schools have decided to do this ceremony after the game as opposed to before it.

I like this. A lot!

Never had the guts to do it but always wanted to tell my team that senior night would be at the first home playoff game. No home playoff game, no senior night!

I've worked places that 5-4 would've gotten you a statue built.
