Offense: defensive box by down and distance coverages by down and distance
Defense: Personal/Formation Down and distance hit chart (strength/weak... field/boundary)
Special Teams: KO: where there # 1 returner is and what type of return did they run first KOR: are there any vertical seams that we can attack in there ko team Punt: box front...how they are defending the gunners... how many returners Punt Return: how deep is the punter.... snap to hold (time) PAT: overloads or not PAT Defense: can we block it or not
Some of this information will come from the scouting report, based on film study. Some of this information will come from watching there pre-game warm up
If someone else has any other information to add, I would love to here there thoughts.

On the offense, we also look for blitzes by down and distance

Offensively (us on Offense). All I want to know is: 1) what techniques they line up in (DL & LB... I want to know if we see a lot of change from the scouting report), 2) who we can block easily- and who we are having trouble with (very helpful vs. head-up DL). I have a list of about 9 other things to look for (safeties cheating up, backer reads, etc.), but if I have 1 and 2 on the list I'm thrilled.

WHO is making the tackle
if you don't have a "tackle chart" then what is purpose of being in the box?

Our guys up in the box would say the purpose of being there is to be 1) warm and dry, 2 have a shelf to put popcorn, hot dogs and soda and 3) have pretty immediate access to a restroom
We do have a "made the play" chart (whether a tackle, first hit, or guy who did his job and funneled the play in to somewhere we did not really want to go. That is a great stat for throughout the game. The stuff I want (techs and blocking) I really want to have by the first or second series... everything else is gravy.
