What tips or tricks do you have playing in "Rain likely. Low around 50F. Winds NE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Locally heavy rainfall possible." Turf field. 7:00 Kick. We are 70/30 run/pass. THANK YOU!

Lots and lots of towels.
Biggest thing, IMO, is don't act like it's an obstacle. If the kids here you complain about it, or bemoan you have to play in it or be in it, that will give them an excuse and it will beat you before you start the game.

70/30 Run/Pass sounds to me like you guys are built for this weather. I don't think you change the gameplan based on weather if you're already a run first team. I would emphasize to your skill guys to not overextend themselves on cuts. Especially when it could be slick, you don't want any added risk of non-contact knee injuries. I agree with larrymoe, towels are key. Make sure your QB, Center, and ballboy all have a towel and have extra balls in a waterproof bag. I've played in some wet games and it will be sloppy. Don't get mad at the players for the ball being wet, or for them slipping on the ground. Just control what you can control.

Fill up a bag of kitty litter for the balls. If you're playing on grass, bring cans of PAM cooking spray for the players to spray under their cleats.
Aside from that, do what you do. Recently played in a rain game where we did this and we had zero issues as a spread team that throws the ball. Our opponent on the other hand, couldn't handle a snap and looked like they were playing on a slip and slide.

If you can,
5 trash bags. 2 balls and big towel in each.
Open one for each quarter and overtime. So you start with 2 dry balls and a dry towel at the beginning of each quarter.
You can definitely control how many towels and trash bags you have. Go to walmart today. Might not be able to control how many footballs you have. If you can't do 10 (5x2), see if you can at least do 4. (4x1) or (2x2).

Not so much for the playing aspect, but in regards to coaching: I have a bunch of shower caps, I use them to cover my hat and keep it dry, I also use some for my shoes if needed (I hate wet socks). Have a kid with an umbrella if you write things down a lot (some are tasked to). And a poncho is helpful

6-0 W. Took the wind to start the third instead of having the scoreboard in the fourth. Scored on first drive of third and D played lights out!

Our field is possibly the muddiest in America. You can’t inconvenience us with a bad field, wet field or rain. Our practice field is the only field I’ve ever seen with less grass than our game field.
When teams play us and it’s raining or late in the season here is what I see teams do:
Mistakes -Do Not Complain about the circumstances. We’ve had teams come in and their coaches walk the field shaking their heads and complaining to each other. Psychologically I think that’s worth 14 points -drastically altering game plan. Short of a monsoon play your game. If it’s raining at our place and you decide you can’t pass the ball it’s gonna be a long night.
Advice -change socks at halftime (cleats too if kids have them). -keep balls dry and have someone dependable changing balls with the refs. -forget the cleat board. It’s overrated and by the time kids get back out their their cleats are muddy again. We don’t own one. If it was needed to slop, we’d have it because again our field is slop after the first rain game of the year or by about mid season whichever comes first
Overall slop is psychological as much as it is physical. The team that overcomes the conditions better is likely to win if talent is nearly equal.

Wind was much more a factor than rain. We played on turf. not grass
