I'd take 2 feet of snow over the -15 (that's a high by the way) we are expected to see on Thursday. I'm really excited about walking to class that day

Hijack of thread alert.
What do you guys do to prevent skin damage as a coach?
I wear a floppy hat, as sunscreen is plain nasty.

our biggest exposure occurs during the 7-on-7 tournaments.....you're out there ALL DAY long...
Personally, I try to keep a decent tan, and I don't mind getting scorched once in a while, but we admonish the kids to use the stuff liberally.
We also don't practice until around 2 or 3, and for only in bouts of 4 hours. In the early Summer, we will go an hour and a half, take a break, let the kids cool off inside, then hit it for another hour and a half.

being a pastey white guy whose skin is the color of milk. I use lots and lots and lots of spf 40. i do try to let myself get burnt once, that way if I forget I'm not completely punished. the worst experience I had with this, was working a camp right after college. I was helping to line the fields, and got marooned on the fields trying to untangle the twine. no shade, no sun screen. nothing. for like 4 hours straight. my neck got burnt so bad the skin looked like alligator. brings a WHOLE new meaning to the term red neck.

I usually get burned and then spend the rest of the weekend b*tching and moaning to my wife about it.

That'll probably change 563 times before Thursday (weather guys suck around here). Either way it's gonna be cold. Add in the 30 mph winds we had today and are supposed to have for the next few days, it's gonna be damn cold.
