Other than just asking the parents for money, does anyone have any creative ideas for a fundraiser?
~Hotel cost for wrestlers going to the region meet 2 hours from here~
THANK YOU

Opportunities seem to pop up if you are available: Concessions at school events We do hat days or dress up days at school- kids pay a buck to dress up and be eligible for a prize for best dressed- we do a $25 gift card and still make a couple hundred bucks. Once we had a card tournament(pinochle) so no gambling- got it together in a couple hours because of a canceled school event. Guess the weight of the Coach? Dollar a guess and the winner announced at the end of the day. Gift card to the winner.
None of these get you more than a couple hundred bucks depending on school size.

You need decent weather or an indoor facility that can handle water, but a dunk tank if you can rent one for a day. Put coaches or other faculty in it. Even put players in it with a waiver signed. $1 for a ball $5 for 6 balls

When we made the playoffs and needed a charter bus for our second round game……we had an Asst coach who has been around forever and is well connected in our community basically start calling alumni, community members, and people who owed him a favor to raise the money for the trip. So parents weren’t paying for their kid to get a charter bus. But we were basically soliciting money.

www.fanangel.com/ easiest way to go. Collect emails and phone numbers. I like it because they have to hit up other people besides their parents. Fan Angel also gives back the largest % back more than (gofundme, etc. I did the research). We ran a quick on this past fall for about 3 weeks and brought home 7k.

They also raised money for the fans to ride a bus for free. They just got businesses and community members to donate money.

They have to raise certain amount of money before they can get out. If they don’t raise enough they can’t come on Fridays. Hope no one donates and consider it a win.
