Anyone just use their cell phones with a head set or ear piece instead on head phones during a game? Would that work?

I tried to do that once about 7 years ago when our headsets hadn’t been charged. It didn’t work well due to signal issues at the school, but with today’s technology it might go smoother.

HAHA I had to once, ironically because the opponents installed a bunch of cellphone towers around their stadium.

We thought about it once but that was before unlimited plans and the head coach’s wife shot it down at ten cents a minute.

Tried that once a while back (10 years ago). Our headsets went bonkers, so we thought we could use our cellphones. The field was right next to a major highway and industrial area. It was not good. The screeching and high pitched noise sounded like someone was trying to probe Uranus in deep space. Don't know if it was the frequency of the phones or what was in some of the buildings behind us. After that, we decided to bring two tin cans and a string as a backup.....
