After reading Coach Nicholsons thread on getting in the Coaching Fraternity it inspired me to seek out other people who run the system that I would like to run and copy there success and maybe learn from where they came up short. The wishbone is something that I have been fascinated with for along time. Ive been working on my playbook, blocking schemes etc. And I have a few months till I have to start focusing on the Pro I set that we run at the high school I curently coach at so why not take advantage. So if any coaches on this board run the Wishbone or know of any schools in there area that do run it could you please list the school and/or coach so that I can maybe contact them maybe set up a visit if they are comfortable with that or just see if they wouldnt mind me picking there brains for alittle while about there system and maybe answer some questions for me. Thanx in advance fellas.

coachac, I am glad that I was able to help you in some small way. Are you wanting info on the true fullhouse bone or the double slot flexbone?

Also where in Ohio are you located? Maybe we could meet up and talk some X's and O's some day.

Its funny how little things like a simple post can change something for someone else or cause a spark. But anyway I coach a little division 6 school in North Robinson Ohio. Its somewhat of a culture shock for me being froma division 1 highschool and then playing college ball then ending up in the country, haha but anyway its definatley a great experience albeit different for me. Im the only black coach on the staff, which was a big thing down here then im 6'2 280 fresh out of college so my overall apperience then added to the stir of the locals. But my players took to me immediately then the parents starting coming to me 1 by 1 telling how there student athlete talks about me all the time so I guess Im makeing a difference. But anyway back on topic if you dont know where it is its about 10 minutes past Mnasfield or about 35-45- minutes from Columbus. Like most I want to have my own program someday and this is the start of my journey.
I recently purchased alot of Fullhouse T books from the net and am slowly becoming astounded with the amount of knowledge and how successful books writtenin the early 50's can still be applied today and be affective. But I still plan on running the Wishbone, and Im searching for coaches hopefully in the area who run it and or have knowledge of it. Anyway this is post is long so ima end it now. Thanx again coach.

That is a funny little story about your "culture shock". I myself am from a rather small community but I have been around many different cultures such as rural farming communities to cities like Columbus and Canton. The differences are amazing! I do have a general idea of where you are located.
I have been involved in some offenses very similar to the full house bone. So, if you would like to post any questions you may have I would be glad to try and answer them for you and hopefully I can learn something from you as well.

Check out the Indiana Wishbone Association. They will be having a clinic in May.
