Need some advice. We have athletic period first period from 7:30-8:40 and then practice after school from 4:30-6:15. Our HC/OC wants to do 7-on-7 and conditioning in the morning...kinda benefits our offense!! I know they need more time but we are splitting up afternoon practice and that only leaves me with 35 minutes a day after warm up and special teams. What is a more optimal way to practice with those times? Would a defense/offenses emphasis day benefit us better? (we play on friday nights here)

IMO, 35 minutes a day is plenty for special teams and warmup. Don't get me wrong, specials are important, however, a lot more goes into offense and defense than specials, again, just my opinion....

Coaches,
we in germany only get practise zwice a week and on satrudays. Twice a week is 2-3 hours each practice and satrudays is 5 hours practice - Any suggestions on a good training schedule??

I would think 7 on 7 benefits offense and defense. So does conditioning. Ask for some time for defensive 7 on 7. Sounds like a great set-up.

I've found that a ton of drills are offensive oriented. . .until you put your own value on the drill. I believe that you need to see a ton of reps against what you'll see, but your coverage rules are your rules, so 7 on 7 against your offense should at least give you the opportunity to reaffirm them. And I've found that if I draw up about 4-5 things I'd like to see in a 15-20 minute period, our OC will gladly insert them from time to time.
