In your area- if they weren't your rival/opponent what school would you like to visit and meet with, watch a practice, break down film with for a weekend?
Please include the School, city and state.
Thanks

We have been to every school in our area except crosstown rival. Were the coaches receptive to the meetings did you get questions answered and was it a mutual sharing of ideas? What schools were the best to meet with and would your school be open to hosting an out of area team?

We've had coaches come to our place over the years.
If I were going to try to visit someone in our area, I would probably start with Reggie Lucas over at Wake Forest. They run a variation of wing-t, so that might turn some folks off, but great defense year after year, well organized, well coached program.
Another would be Richard Bailey down at Scotland County. He has an extensive coaching tree and is always willing to help others, even if they aren't part of that tree.

Along these lines, I have always thought Big Struggling schools should visit small successful schools and vice versa.

We have been visiting other programs (even conference rivals), and other schools have been visiting us for about the past 10 years. It is one of the best things we do in our program. We also have retired coaches come and watch our practices weekly to give us feedback. We have found everyone to be open to sharing ideas and feedback. We tend to visit schools during spring ball (if we don't have practice at the same time), on June/July camp days, or during playoffs if one of the teams has been eliminated. We have visited the following schools in the past few years: St. X, Cincinnati, OH Colerain, Cincinnati, OH Highlands, Ft. Thomas, KY Beechwood, Crestview, KY Covington Catholic, Covington, KY Minster, Minster, OH Dublin Coffman, Columbus, OH Boyle County, Boyle County, KY Male, Louisville, KY Anna, Anna, OH There are a few more that are skipping my mind at the moment, but watching other schools practice and meeting with their coaches has helped us tremendously.

What schools were the best to meet with and would your school be open to hosting an out of area team? It wasnt mutual sharing of ideas because of proximity, always the potential we could be playing in same district, league what have you. privately they would help an individual on our staff, but its not open or mutual sharing of ideas not among these schools. Now if you were out of state. I am pretty sure they would be helpful. You go to the university of Georgia, we have been to every public hs within 25/30 mile radius in the last couple of years. we do things atlanta here and there, but that is an entirely different animal, and imo undesirable, football having nothing to do with it.
