Hey coaches I'm writing to see if there are any coaches here who have experience playing/coaching 9v9? I'm an American playing and coaching in Europe. I have been here since 2018 and I would like to learn more from coaches with their experience in this version of the game, thanks!

My biggerst struggle has been defense. 3-3 has been the most effective where I'm at but 6 in the box seems easy to exploit with big plays. Any thoughts on how to use formation to create more of a bow effect and force the offense to march the ball down the field? Any thoughts how to slow down the outside offensive plays by formation/alignment? I read of one coach going with 2 DL 3 LBs 2 safeties and 2 CBs but I've never tried it.

The odd fronts are popular in 8 and 9 man for one of two reasons:
1. The DC is playing a straight box/containment philosophy and needs to be able to slide into a 4 man front to make sure they have an edge player.
2. They want to play a lot of TNT while having the CBs reading to either fit on the edge or play a deep 1/3.
