Hello all,
Our team had some lights out LBs transfer over the last two years. They’ve worked hard to improve their grades, but are at the DiI a d DIII minimum GPA and ACT/ SAT scores. Are college programs sticking tough to the “Before Times” requirements or taking kids on probationary status? Our district has a grant that kids who graduate and get into a college have their tuition paid for, so football scholarships would be nice, but not an absolute necessity - you just gotta get in. TIA

The last I had seen/heard was that schools were moving away from standardized test requirements because those tests were racially/culturally biased. I believe the University of Illinois just flat said they're not looking at that anymore. (I looked it up after typing this sentence- this year it was made "optional" because of COVID, but they're debating making it permanent).
Of course, the UofI is also the epicenter of the "math is racist" ideology...
