Just had our game Friday cancelled due to one case on the other team. Only week two and there have been multiple games cancelled already due to corona. One team went away to camp for a week and shocking has had both their games cancelled already. Didn't have any last year and played our full shortened schedule of 7 games. We had 10 scheduled this year but feel like the over under for actual games is 5 this year.
Anyone else getting hit already with cancellations?

In South Louisiana we are getting the double the whammy of Covid (which are forfeits this year) issues plus Hurricane Ida cancellations. Actually have a situation where a team is forfeiting (due to covid) a game to a team who isn't going to be able to play because of the hurricane. |

We haven't had any sporting events cancelled in Montana and we're kind of in limbo. Each local health department in this state seem to handle positive cases/contact tracing differently so we have no idea what's coming our way.

Our JH Volleyball team cancelled for a somewhat Covid related reason:
Our opponent is in a county that mandates masks indoors, even for players. The opposing team's parents grew angry that their kids would have to wear masks at times and decided to keep their kids home in protest- so the game was cancelled.
A number of big schools out here in So Cal have had to cancel football games recently though.

Tennessee
Week 1: Not sure if any games where cancelled.
Week 2: 30+ games around the state cancelled.
Week 3: So far we are around 24 this week and the number seems to climb daily.

It's week one in Washington. Roughly twenty games cancelled so far, including ours.

My first and second game as a HC got cancelled after a player on our team tested positive. Im sure it’ll only continue to get worse once kids are back in school.

We had 5 or 6 games cancelled this first week and about the same this upcoming week in the area.

Athens and Sandusky shut down, so is Wadsworth. Mask up and get kids vaccinated if possible, 3/4 or more of the next 6 weeks might be cancelled if people aren’t smart Labor Day. |

Our first game of the year the other team got Covid. And we rescheduled an opponent on Thursday afternoon at 2 and played on Friday. Week 2 was fine. But 3 kids got quarantined Bc of household contacts. This week we have had 2 test positive. But Bc of weekend contact tracing didn’t go back to last week. Plus a couple more household contacts. Add up a couple injuries. And my roster of 34 varsity players is down to 24 for Friday. We have 0 backups in some spots. And we really don’t have a true player at one of our OLB spots.

We were shut down for 2 weeks (one forfeit), rescheduled to play this past Monday, then got shut down again (Tuesday). Our next 2 opponents are currently shut down as well.

Four games cancelled in this part of NC(Greensboro area) this week. I have no idea about the rest of the state.
