We had a kid go to some big time college camps and come away with combine times that were drastically different than what we’ve consistently gotten ourselves for quite some time. Has anyone else ever found these camps to give times that raise some eyebrows, or could it just be a mistake on our part? We are talking a difference of 0.3 sec in the 40 for example.

Was it at a college or was it one of those other combines? Some of those deals are pretty shaddy so who knows what they are trying to pull. Also how do you time vs how was he timed at the combine? Handheld times can vary greatly vs electronic times as well.

Hand times can be all over the place. And who knows who was timing at the camp, if they want a legit time I am sure they would have electronically timed him.

Did you consider these guys to be real prospects?

We've found some non-prospect kids get better times. Good way to get them to come back and pay again next year???

We hand time, colleges did as well. lol "legitimate" I thought integrity was at the heart of every power five program? lol These are all good points and are disappointing. I did find an article that said a high number of NFL prospects run slower times at the combine than they did as highschoolers, which is pretty good proof that these are irrelevant statistics.
