Same thing happened to me recently.. I actually want to fire them, and then think about resigning . After a month of me getting the job my Oback coach was still mad he wasn't offered the job. He started to question the legalities of the hiring process ( I want to be 100% legal )and forced the AD-V Head Coach to advertise the position and is recommending my D coordinator. The committee to chose is the AD- V Head Coach, Principal, Booster Pres. and -- a parent, you guessed it my Oback coach !!!
The thing is, he been working to get the job for a month behind my back and not a word about it from the DA-Varsity Coach. I hear it from my loyal LOL Oback coach " They are having second thoughts"
The V HC assures me the job is mine and says to can the two backstabbers.
But I'm thinking what about the V HC? Who's watching my back? Where will he be when I need him when Sh really hits the fan.
Bummer is my boys will go to this school. Can I allow them to play for a AD V HC with such little integrity?
This is a stipend but might as well be volunteer position that in the past had the previous years graduated Varsity players run the team with little or no football taught. Thats why I agreed to this job in the first place.
Guys I really respect and appreciate your input. Sorry about the length and whining but I'm starting to feel better already.

in life, 10 % is what happens to us and 90% is how we react and our attitude.
life is not fair.

Sorry Brophy, I resect your input. I learned instant messeging from my three boys. AD- V HC= Athletic Director - Varsity Head Coach. ( He has both jobs).
