Have an interview later on in the week and was just curious... What do you guys ask the HC in an interview at a new school? Obviously I want to know about the schemes and vision he has for his program. What specifics do you guys ask a HC at an interview to join his staff?

Meeting as a staff Meeting with players. Staff responsibility lay out. Game day organization when traveling Game day on field organization. What the demographic Where do kids come from Booster club.. Parent involvement Administration Teaching schedule. Availability v. What you want to teach unless you are desperate off campus. Filming Research the coach. It matters. Player discipline structure Game plan input? Scouting responsibility Meeting room at all? Who are the other coaches? Stipen. Make sure you want the change |

If you want to know what kind of coach he really is... Ask him why he does a certain thing schematically and see if he can explain it. I know so many coaches that do things bc thats the way they have always seen it done.

Or are you also kicking the tires around a bit to see if it is a good fit? |

If you are us, you have zero parental $upport. All the $money$ is on other side or $urrounding districts. If I move jobs, I want to know if it is sustainable, or will I be looking for new job in a year. Is their a known talent pool? Does hc give me the wth are you talking about look? Make no mistake it’s about jimmies and joes. How do you meet with your team when you have no meeting room? That is cross town rival. And it matters where the school is at. We have been given what amounts to the death penalty in hs fb. While other counties really never shut down. And it showed. |
