Just wondering what you coaches are doing for end of year banquets? We cannot have one as of now. I don't want to do virtual. Banquets are least favorite days of the year anyway.

Our plan is to have one either later this winter or early spring. They might decide to not have one at all or we might not be able to, but the plan now is to wait to have one in-person.

No banquet for now. Thinking about having some kind of team picnic in the spring.

Not ideal but we did ours virtually. It went well, parents were very complementary of it. We usually introduce the kids and say a little bit about each one so as we talked about each kid I had slideshow going and each kid had a slide with their name, number and picture from the program. Then we did our awards the same way. Overall went well and I think parents appreciated it.

We got ours out of the way literally the day before we got shutdown around here. We just made it short and sweet. Prime-Rib dinner for everyone, academic award for our academic all-state player, all-conference player awards, honor the captains, then give out senior gifts. About 90 minutes total from start to finish.

We're going to do ours in January at a local church with a large sanctuary so families can spread out. Then have cake afterwards for anyone comfortable enough to stay or they can leave if they don't want to be around people. We are in rural community so Covid hasn't been to much of an issue for us thankfully. Still trying to be cautious and give people space if they feel like they need it though.
