I heard that Brian Urlacher was a college safety...who else changed positions and became a great pro?
I think Keith Byars was a good college rb but switched to te at some point in the pros.

I believe Rod Smith of the Broncos was a college QB who became a great WR in the NFL.

Brian Urlacher was a jack off all trades in college. He played S, OLB, and even some TE.
Rod Smith played both QB and some WR.
Mark Bortz (I don't know if he was great) was DL turned OL in the pros.
Hines Ward was a college QB for his last year at Georgia because the starter went down.
Matt Jones is a promising young player who made the switch to WR from QB.
John Alt (Kansas City) was a TE that turned Tackle in the pros.

Keith Byers was a RB in college and his early years as a pro. He played a little TE for the Eagles, then mostly TE for the Dolphins towards the end of his career.

Don't know if this counts, but Ronnie Lott was a pretty good corner in college and became a decent free safety in the pros.

Bobby Mitchell (Redskins in the sixties) switched from RB to WR, was a great one.

Wildcat, it was literally 120 pounds ago. I believe he came into the league weighing "only" 250. Don't know what he's listed at now, but it's got to be 350ish!
