This is my best, first yr high school coach frosh team at home nice day game tied at 13, california tie breaker, we give the opponet first try at the goal 4 plays from the 10 yd line first play to the right stuffed no gain, second play to the left 4yds third play up the middle to the goal line 4th play we dig real deep they run a dive tb jumps in the air and gets hammered by fs for a three yd loss. We take possession first play counter george for td we win. 19-13 this was the best team i have ever coached no other team in 10 yrs has came this close. thats my most favorite.

I don't really think of any specific game. Every year, sometime towards the end of the season, The sun is setting, the band plays the national anthem, got the headset on, nice and cool outside, kids are pumped, coaches talking on the headsets, telling jokes, pointing out humorous things, talking about the gameplan, just all the energy, each game is great.

2 games stick out as just flat out great games:
2003 - district championship game against a state-ranked opponent. back and forth game. they kickoff (touchback)...we score in 4 plays. they take the ball & go on about a 90 play drive to score. kickoff to us (touchback)...we score in 5 plays.......they go on a 80 play drive & score......kickoff (touchback) we score on 1st play......they go 100 play drive to score right before half. 2nd half is more of the same. we finally stop them with 2 minutes to go down 4. time runs out with ball on 17 yd line.....had 2 shots into the end zone but nothing. great game.
2005 - opening game of year. double overtime thriller. both offenses made big plays when they needed to. we just happened to make 1 more than they did as we win it in the 2nd ot. hurt them with the counter trey from 1-back gun all night.....1st play of 2nd ot was the play-action off the counter trey look for the 25 yd td to win it. actually should have won the game in regulation. were down 21 points with 10 minutes to go in game but score 3 td's to draw even. tie game with 2:10 left when we get possesion on our own 20 (after they miss fg). drive to the 4 yd line with 3 seconds left but get the fg blocked. they get ball 1st in ot & score. we block their pat. 1st play for us we get holding penalty...now 1st & 20 on the 35. next play had something called but i checked to speed option at los.....qb runs it to the 4. we punch it in on 4th & inches to tie......then MISS the freakin' pat. then the pap to score, make the pat, defense holds them & we end the 11 game losing streak they had entering the season.
