It looks like we will be able to start up again on Sunday after being shut down for 2 weeks.
How would you guys approach this? Should we go full pads and full go like we missed nothing? Some kind of transition? Thoughts?

We had 2 games, then 3 weeks off, then a game, then a game that got canceled, then 2 weeks off, now we play saturday with 2 days of practice (yesterday and today).
I don't have a good answer, but I can say that it has totally screwed our season.

Give it a day of helmets and shoulder pads then...back to work.

Offensive day today (you know... the soft side of the ball haha) that was toned down a tad but still "normal" in uppers. Went pretty well and kids looked fine other than being half asleep because we started in the morning. We'll see. But you're right. Kids are more resilient than we think and the adjustment may be more for us in all honesty. Just want to make sure we're being smart and not negligent!

How long until your next game? How well do you think your players stayed in shape during the off time-running stretching on their own?

How long until your next game? How well do you think your players stayed in shape during the off time-running stretching on their own? We play Friday. Mixed bag. Our kids generally work pretty hard. But I'm sure there are some that didn't. Million dollar question - how do you "differentiate instruction" so that you can maximize your potential but not hurt or harm those that aren't ready.

Yikes, Firday aint much time. I agree with the premise of differentiating instruction, at least in regards to getting kids in playing shape. I wouldn't try to add any wrinkles this week. Just rep the heck out of your base and get kids running again. Make sure your linemen know your basic blocking schemes and protection down pact. Rep form tackling too so guys don't get themselves hurt.

Good team that is a rival but one we should beat... as long as we play up to our speed and standard. There was a possibility that we would've came back Friday to play a rival Sunday. Would've been a rematch of last year's state game. That would've been very tough.
