What is the recommended lateral placement of a telescopic end zone camera?

I always wanted the EZ system on the hash to our side of the field, facing the scoreboard, a couple of yards beyond the end line. I wasn't ever a fan of the center of the goalposts like I see a lot of other teams do. I found that alignment allowed me to get scoreboard shots and gave good angles on the OL regardless where they were.

Since week 2 of 2017 we put it on whichever hash is closest to a power outlet after our kicker sent a PAT dead center just a foot or so below the camera. Now that we have a new battery pack for the monitor, I really like your idea of putting on the hash on the end zone straight across from a scoreboard at way games (we’ve always been there on accident at home games).

Had a PAT take ours out years ago when we had it dead center. We now put it on the nearest hash closest to where we're bringing it in from.
The best shots come when when the ball is directly in line with the camera, and this happens more often on the hash than in the middle of the field.
Statistically, ~40% of plays are run from the left hash, 40% from the right, and 20% from between the hashes. So placing the camera on the hash gives you more of these perfect shots than the middle would.
