What company do people use? How much did it cost? What kind of payment plan? Anyone know if any company leases?
I am looking to get my hands on one, but don't have a lot of cash available.

Any idea on the cost on the software Coach?
I know I can call, but I figured I'd ask here first.
I talked with an LRS rep and theirs runs 3500.

all depends on the system you choose to get. approx for a 2 computer system would be around 6-7 thousand.

We looked into DSV, LRS, etc... and they are all very good systems. Our budget will not allow us ever to purchase one of these systems. We went with TD Video the same company that makes playmaker pro. The cost of the software was 895.00 and we were able to use a mac computer that the school already had. The only piece of hardware we needed was an external hard drive. I want to say we paid 200.00 for 300 gigs. A local NCAA Div II school also uses TD Video and they get out of it what they need. Does it have all the bells and whistles of DSV? NO way, but it has been very easy for us to use and works like a charm.

My entire site has been built on pawn shop VCRs and a computer program under $200. There is no need dropping a ton of money on fancy stuff. In the past 6 months I have created right at 500 videos on kids across the country and by the end of the year will have a few thousand. Any of you coaches who would like some help getting video out on your kids can call me at anytime. Many of you are being taken advantage of by programs costing thousands and thousands of dollars and I can't figure it out. For 4 years I have been working with HS coaches absolutely free of charge and will continue to do so. Here is my video directory for those interested in seeing #1 the quality of the clips and #2 the amount of clips. All you guys need to do is get tape in and this is the end result. All for the low price of $0. VIDEO DIRECTORY: www.sunshinepreps.net/oldclipsThis directory is free to every college in the country. You guys give me a call anytime. Derek Williams 813-340-0971

derek -- appreciate your efforts and the offer to help. that is surely a valuable service. however, i think what many of the coaches were looking for might have been a video system more along the lines of a scouting program and a self-scout type program. one that cuts & labels each play according to the information input by the coaches. a program that not only offers printed reports of various kinds but also allows a coach to have instant access to specific clips.
