Does anyone have a watch or app that they can set to alarm the end of each practice period?
I am the DC and our head coach let's me do the period change, but once I get into coaching I don't want to have to keep looking at my watch to see when it's time to change periods. I am used to having someone blow a whistle or having a horn to end the period. I need something that I can set and will alert me that each period is up. I don't want to have to set it for each period. I want something that I can set once before practice starts and it will work for the whole practice.
Any suggestions would be great.

I have a Fitbit Versa which I can set a timer on and it vibrates when the time is up. I think most Fitbit watches have this capability, as I am sure Apple watches do too.

Try the Wod timer App. You can use the 5 min. EMOM. For every 5 min. It will give u a countdown as well toward the end

I just set timers on my phone. Takes a few minutes but I’ve got an alarm for each period change. I am an idiot and didn’t even think of this. This is how I wake my son up in the morning. I use an old iPhone and set 3 alarms. Thank you I didn’t even think of it. I don’t mind taking a little time before practice. I just don’t want to be fiddling around with my phone or watch set timers between each period.

There’s a Tabata timer too that’s a free app and easy to use.

I went and bought the large ONN speaker at Walmart and the app “seconds.” I love it. You set up the intervals and it will even tell you the period and start a countdown before it changes

Can I set it go off every 5 minutes without having to reset it each time? You have to restart it every time, but the previous time interval stays up. So if your periods are always 5 minutes you just have to push the button to start it every 5 minutes.

I used the app Seconds Pro for the field and weight room. Load it to an (old) iPhone, set the periods, connect it to a speaker, walk away slow. Works very well and you can play music and it will come in over the audio with a countdown and period number/text. Worked very well.

Any scoreboard company will have a big, digital segment timer with LED numerals that will time your period and blow a horn at the end of each period. These things have only been around since the early '80's so they're easy to overlook. Jeez, guys. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Just coach sand so all this gadget nonsense.
