Are there any teams that follow Tony Hollers Feed The Cats practice philosophies? What he is saying makes sense, BUT, I'm not sure how to think about a track guy waxing poetic about football practice structures.

You will find more than you bargained for. I'm reading those. Haven't come across any yet that extensively answers the OP. Still reading though. I'm not asking about the type of training as much as I am interested if any coaches have gone all in to the idea of less is more in terms of practices, etc. And also what those models look like.

I’ve somewhat followed the philosophy these past 4 weeks. Some days it’s hard...it’s like, “must...do...more...” but we don’t. I like the timing of the 40s every Monday, it’s been interesting to see the different results each week. Gives me some feedback on some different factors, but honestly it’s impossible to pinpoint why most kids improved, stayed the same, tested worse than usual, etc. M and W are speed days, T and Th are my own bastardized X Factor days.
I have had no problem avoiding long distances. The longest runs we’ve done have been 60 yard tempo runs at 80% with about 90 sec of rest in between. I can live with this piece because I’ve always been driven nuts by coaches that run more their kids as if football plays last 20 seconds.
When the old school FB coach mentality creeps up and wants me to beat them into the ground to make them mentally tough, I remind myself of life in 2020 and figure they’re handling adversity on a daily basis already in other ways. If I go into the military and train SEALS, I’ll switch back.
