Coaches, Do you know anything about this Hawaiil Bowl game for HS athletes? www.hawaiitikibowl.com/Website looks professional. If it's legit, is it D1 caliber athletes? I have a QB that was invited but he is not a D1 kid. |

Looks like a bunch of small college coaches trying to put something together so they get a free vacation and something to put on their resume.
It says that kids have to share a bed with a teammate or pay an extra $385. Sharing a bed with a stranger? I would say it's not very first class just based on that.

Lol. My backup qb, who has thrown less that 15 career passes just got invited. He is 5'6 165. Cant break 5 flat.

Yeah a bunch of my former players from my last stop got invited 1 of which has already have offers from D1 FCS... the others have 0 offers anywhere ... innocently I commented some funny Hawaii gifs to just show support since they were not happy with me having to leave there.
After looking it up... not 1 coach from the University of Hawaii, and $3000 "per visitor".
... I don't want to over step my boundaries and break the bad news to them but God damn!

Yeah, it’s definitely just a side hustle. And an experience vacation for kids. But to be fair to the organizers, it doesn’t look like they are selling it as anything more than that.

They carpet bomb kids with invitations and hope they get enough to pay to play. I said before if I ever won the lottery I would pay for a bunch of kids invited and see how they handled like 5,000 kids committing to the game.
It's a pay to play All Star game and nothing more. No prestige or honor, just you got the cash? Welcome to the team!
