Coaches
Even though this is a rough time in our history on multiple levels, one of the positives of all of this is the many online clinics that have been available for professional development on a daily basis. Especially almost all of them being free and archived, its made it even better.
I would like your thoughts on an idea, and maybe its already been done, but in my area (NW Ohio, SE Michigan), our area has been hit hard in terms of people filing for unemployment, and people struggling with being able to put food on the table. The thought I had was putting together some sort of 2 night virtual clinic (through zoom likely) where it would be free, but encouraged to donate to a charity each night that would go towards helping this issue. Again, before someone gets sensitive and jumps me for not giving attention to this state or city, I know there is so many people struggling from hospitals to first responders to small businesses etc. in places all throughout the country but point being, putting something together that i.e. would be Night #1 benefits this organization from Ohio, and Night #2 benefits this organization from Michigan and trying to get speakers from those respective states, or in your opinions is it better to not restrict it to an area?
What would you recommend in terms of organizing the clinic?
How would you handle registration so as many people as possible that want to login can and donate if they wish?
I want to make this donation element transparent so coaches can see that they are actually donating to this specific charity, I don't have much experience in this area, any advice?
What would be the best nights to do this? I was thinking of it taking place after Easter, and doing something like 5:00pm-10:00pm with each speaker getting just under an hour. Maybe April 16-17 ?
I would put together a website, with the speaker line up for each day, bios, topics, etc. Create a link to a google drive to archive the presentations, but I am looking for advice with the logistics of it all. Any advice would be appreciated.
