It would be interested to see how PJ could hang with the likes of OU and some of those higher scoring spread offenses out there. If he can do what he does on offensive, kill some clock, and have a somewhat competent defense that would be interesting to watch in that league for sure. Army taking OU into overtime a few seasons back is proof enough he could make some noise provided he was given the time to build his program. His defensive coordinator would look like a genius because they would be defending half the plays the spread teams have to. Not relevant to your response, but I’d like to apologize for my terrible English in my comment. Jeez. Good thing I teach Spanish.

Ku is the death bed. I can't believe all the trouble they have. Donahue was the last coach there to have success. Who is Donahue?

Probably got last name wrong I thought Terry Donahue. He never coached at KU, only UCLA. There was Terry Allen but he only lasted four-plus years (1997-2001, 20-33). Mangino was 50-48 from 2002-09.

I'm thinking that the fact that we don't know who these guys are says a lot about the state of their program.

I would love to see Paul Johnson make a comeback (especially at the P5 level), but if I were him there's no way I would go to Kansas. But if he does, I will be pulling for the Jayhawks. They are probably one of the few P5 schools that might would hire him just because they have been so bad for so long and will never get the players to go toe-to-toe with anyone and outathlete them. What's the old saying? If you can't be good, be different.

Mason's first name is Glen, not Terry.
