I did a quick search and see didn't anything specific to my inquiry. My question is to those who may have their own football booster program. My AD is allowing us to break away from the current school booster program and run our own football boosters.
This essentially means that we will be able to run and retain the funds from the concession stand.
I'm looking for two things: the pro's/con's from any personal experience, and any by-laws or booster club language that we could use to set up our own situation.
Thanks in advance.

As my first boss said, they write they check on demand or they cant be a booster C. They have to be given a say. Not about who plays or on field strategy. More like team meals, functions, fundraisers( oxymoron) and the like. Let them run it. Give them control or perceived control over certain things. D. Let them into thinking on game nights. Give them a fan version of your thoughts on the game and let ask question.

Check with your state about restrictions and accounting practices. In KY we have Redbook. It states you can’t charge dues to be a member of an external booster program for example. You used to but not anymore.

I'm very curious about allowing members to make recurring donations. People can donate what they want and we'll set it up so they can donate, say, $5 / month. Be easy for them and easy for us.
