Do anyone of you experience post season stress? During the season its go, go, go, go, go, go, 7 days a week and then all of a sudden it stops. It all comes to a screeching halt. For myself, there is a definite adjustment period. I literally do not know what to do with myself and climb the walls for about 2mos.
How to cope?

I have a 15 month old, a 4 year old and a pregant wife. I have more than enough to fill my time. I go from go, go, go to go,go,go,go when I get home. Football is a much more relaxed time for me.

personally.....i drink way too much from the time the season ends until beginning of 2nd semester....lol
just like to watch games on tv & in person after the season. don't want to think "like a coach" for a while. after we start back to school in january i start "looking" ahead.

'stress' is the worrying on whether or not you are doing EVERYTHING in your power to be the best team in 9 months....
When you're not banging everyday in practice, the idle time causes a lot of worry, because your mind is telling you "we've got to be doing SOMETHING!!"
The vicarious lifestyle during the season has to be recharged in the off season and take it easy. Get in (better) shape, learn some new tricks, and take time to smell the flowers.....

brophy, I think you hit it on the head. It is worry. Its like my mind knows I am supposed to be doing something different, I become very restless and I cant turn it off. I can spend all the time in the world with my family and such but I still 'stress'. I do run alot...and drink alot in the off season but it wont be til the first of February before I will begin to relax.

to be honest....I drink MORE during the season than out of season...I rarely have a drink after November. It's those unbelieveable Friday nights in September / October that get me.
