We are looking to sell sponsorship for things like 1st downs, quarters, timeouts, etc. What all things can you guys think of during the game that can be sold for sponsorship? I'm working on a list for my booster club

We are selling “sacks” to our local grocery store this year. It sure how much but they were going to buy the TDs but I said sacks make more sense because of the grocery sack and they liked it and wanted to do it.

No joke, my HS alma mater (which is and was a very good program) auctioned off a play once. Literally the person who won the auction got to call one play in the game- called some wacky trick play that failed. Now I know that isnt a sponsorship per se, but got me thinking- why not sponsor specific plays.
I am sure it would work better for offensive plays, as they are easier to distinguish, but you could have "Flood, brought to you by Allstate" or "Speed Option, brought to you by Jiffy Lube".
Of course they may end up wanting quotas for minimum amounts you run their play, but you can just ask for $20 each time you run it. Then again, that might force your hand a bit too; I can imagine the talk with your AD after a big loss... "Yeah, I know most teams don't run the ball down 14 with two minutes left. But we made an extra $100 running 'Power OT, brought to you by Power Radio 97.3'"

Sell the yard lines. $20 per Yardline or something. Then pay “rent”’to the owner at the end of quarter 1, 2, & 3. Whatever yard line the ball is on at the end of the quarte, the owner get $50 or whatever works.

I wouldn’t want to do anything that you had to keep up with. Just seems like another thing to deal with.
I would just present the idea that every time we score or whatever we will announce the sponsorship. I would have the numbers ready if they asked but I wouldn’t bring them up. Set a season total price instead of a per occurrence price. Would probably tell them they will also be announced at half time and end of game.

Yeah, this feels like maybe something you'd want to float to the boosters and let them handle the headache.

I'm working on a list for my booster club I don't pay much attention, but off the top of my head we do: 1st downs red zone quarters extra points kick offs and some others I'll probably remember later Between the PA guy and the jumbotron commercials it's almost over kill, but hey the booster club does a crap ton for us

So a little background, new head coach, small school (40ish total players 9-12, under 400 kids in the school 9-12) 2nd year of Football only buster club which has no money and no idea how a booster club is supposed to run. I'm basically in charge but I do have a officers to delegate to too. I want to sell them for flat rate for the season not per game or time it happens. The list I've got so far is: TD Quarters Timeouts -got a heating and air company who wants them. Sacks kickoffs

Sacks kickoffs I have thought of this idea as well...but never could think through the problem/issue of "ACME paid $$$ to sponsor touchdowns, which we only scored 10, but ABC lighting paid the same to sponsor quarters, which they were guaranteed in number. " The variability always concerned me.
