We are looking at purchasing Statistics Software for PC. What do you recommend, and why? Thanks.

We use Digital Scout stateware. Covers the stats that we need plus it saves time after the game. You can have them printed out in about 5 minutes. It is also inexpensive, $120 or so for the software and you can get a cheaper "palm pilot" device to run it for about $150. Our stat man is in love with this because he doesn't have to mess around with the paper forms anymore. We have used it four seasons and haven't had a problem.

We use Digital Scout too on a palm pilot. We've used it the past two years and had a student keep it during the games. I'll give it a thumbs up. You can probably get a palm that will work with it kinda cheap on ebay if you don't wanna pop for a new one.

try excel. you can set it up to do pretty much anything you want. we used it for scouting and self scouting last year. if your play w/ it enough you can get the formulas to give you any info you want. just takes a little time.
