GUYS, I RECEIVED THIS NOTE WITH A COMBINE I AM GOING TO BE SENDING SOME OF MY GUYS TO. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?
Due to new NCAA policy we will no longer be doing any quantitative tests on the athletes. The combine will be a drill based event where athletes will be grouped according to their position. College coaches will be there to evaluate the athletes based on drills that they would run at a normal practice. There will be no contact drills whatsoever. All Quarterbacks must bring their own football. The only equipment the athletes need to bring with them is their football cleats.

So college coaches can come, if they test then no coaches can come.

It means that players can no longer be timed, measured, or weighed at camps.
I'm not sure it is only when a college coach is there or not, but I'll take tvt's word.

So, if no college coach is there, we can go back to doing bench, 40, shuttle, and vertical.

well, if you are looking to get your kids schollies...the new format is more valuable than quantitative measurements. (the old format combined the two at the camps I would work/Attend)
