At one of my stops they had trash cans that actually had a handle on the bottom of the can (to use for run fits, etc). It made it super easy to move the cans around to simulate different techs. I cant find them anywhere, and they may have even been done in house before I got there. If anyone knows where to get these can you send me the link....thanks

At my last stop they'd drilled holes in the bottom and tied a rope through the holes th make a handle. At the stop before we just used regular trash cans with no handle. They're light and easy to move with or without a handle. I remember looking at the cans in a football equipment catalog and laughing out loud at what they were charging. We got ours at Lowes.

If you know someone who works for the highway department or in construction, the road barrels used as traffic markers have handles built into the top.
(Of course, I am not advocating liberating some via creative acquisition.....just sayin).

These are probably what you're thinking of www.rogersathletic.com/spacer-cans/ but I can't drop that kind of money on a "trash can" I've picked up some of those beverage tubs from Aldi for $4 or $5 when they go on sale in the spring. They're cheap plastic, just don't let the kids sit or lean on them.

Side track- We bought 15 cans at Runnings: got them to the field used them for both Varisty and freshmen, came back the next day and they were spread out all over the practice and game facility with garbage bags in them. Took us 10 minutes to gather them all back to the practice area and get the liners out. Put them in a shed and came back the next day only to find them all over again with a nasty note from the grounds keeper about trying to hide his garbage cans. Thought if I talked to him in person it would be cleared up easily. Instead he was flipping me off from 50 yards away and wouldn't take his ear phones off to listen. Next day the cans were spread out again but now they were zip tied to fences and even a tree. Camp ends and I seek out the building and grounds director...he walks me back to a storage area and points to 15 cans exactly like we bought- they were supposed to be placed at the field but the grounds keeper said he already had them...took them home spray pained them with green paint and didn't have another issue(Grounds keeper retired at the end of the summer).

I worked with an OL guy who actually went and stole a whole bunch of the orange striped ones from where they were doing highway construction. He had a pickup with one of those camper-kinda things (I don't know what you call them), so once he through them in his truck they were hidden. I, of course, would not advocate doing that.

Honestly, can you not use them right side up? If you happen to bump one over, just pick it up.
Of course flip over and stack when done to keep the rain out of them, although some have holes in bottom for that reason anyways.

There is a story of a college coach taking his OL out in the back of his truck. They stopped and he said something along the lines that he thought he might of overpaid his state taxes. They got out and grabbed a set.

Our custodians we’re getting rid of, conveniently, 7 blue recycling cans last summer. I power washed them with bleach and they work quite nicely. Our district warehouse sells them for $16-18, so it saved me some coin.

We actually had the same things happen with our custodians. Couldn't figure out why my cans were disappearing and they actually thought I was taking the cans from them. We buy bright colored cans online, that are easy to stand out. And I take a 1" drill bit and I drill a few holes in the bottom of them so they don't stick together when they are stacked.

Either get those stickers you attach to your mailbox or get a stencil and paint on the cans C, G, T, 0 through 5 for the techniques of alignment

Anybody have a link to the right type of trash cans to buy? I have about 5 already, but for the life of me, I cannot find any online that resemble them. They only ones online I can find are the Brutes. The cheapest I have found is the 10 Gallon Brutes for $17, but I am thinking that is too small.
I have look Walmart's website, but they don't seem to have what I want.

Similar thing happened to me , construction was being don on our new clubhouse and all the construction workers decided it would be cool to just take them as if they were their own even though 15 trash cans in stacks of five along side the football equipment area would probably clue them in??? So going out to set up blitz review period they were all scattered throughout the worksite , found some nasty stuff in em, porn mags, nip containers spit bottles even actual beer cans ?? Lol so apparently work for them was just a continuation of the party. So I asked nicely one time, got blown off , asked nicely a second time got blown off... well three strikes and you’re out with me . Took all the contents of the barrels and emptied it in their site trailer and cabs of their construction vehicles ... I think after that they got the messege .... some things could be so simple if people weren’t such D bags ... anyway the AD had to end up getting involved and it was finally squashed .

Additionally and excuse my ignorance .... what exactly is the function of the handle y’all are talking about ?
Do you tie a string to it and simulate line action such as a down block or pull???

I was able to straighten them out. Was very handy with the handles on top. Put them away after the season and school maintenance claimed them to block off streets for the buses. Have to come up with new ones now
