I would greatly appreciate some feedback on my question. What offense would best suite this group of players. Are best RB is a receiver and does not like to run between the tackles. He started to wear down at mid season. Are strongest area is our WR fast and deep in # .The O line is average and the QB is very quick and fast not a good thrower.FB is the strongest player on the team runs a 4.7 or 8. I guess some would say what is the issue. We are a 5A school thats been mostly in the I since day one and its just not getting us where we could be I think.

Spread Option
let your FB and QB run between the tackles and work on pitching the ball to the RB on the edge.
Get your QB to throw hitches and bubble.

Now be prepared for the Wing T and double wing guys to say that is the direction to take!!

If their best RB is a receiver, I don't think he would be a good fit in our DW. We like kids who aren't afraid of contact and who will block at the wings. And we don't even use the term "receiver"!

Superpower and Coachcalande,
I saw a DW team at a 7 on 7 this year (I believe they were for defense and to have some fun). They aligned in normal DW formation, but the QB was in the gun and would jet motion across and kept running different combinations of flood to the sideline. Is that a true DW look or were they just messing around at 7 on 7?

Now I just have to try to get the HC to be more open to something else. You know we stay with what is comfortable.I totally agree with getting your skills the ball in space. As well as making the defense play sideline to sideline. The other thing is understanding that you can still focus on running the ball.

There are several DW teams that have begun to include a direct snap package in their arsenal. In fact, we did some fun stuff with a direct snap in 2 pt. conversion situations this season, and because of the success we had we are looking at expanding it next season.

What playbook should I be looking that has the DW from the gun try anything circa 1920s...POP WARNER ran the dw from the direct snap dw. I have some video of his teams. great misdirection, great passing and great power. Pop said that the dw formation was the best passing formation hands down.
