Accidentally Brian Dawkins'ed a kid today

Was spotting the ball in AM varsity practice during team period. I'm half asleep, to be honest. First time all year I'd forgotten my coffee for the ride in to work, and I'm draggin ass from the week as is.
I'm a little bit too close to the play. Offense runs 4 verts out of trips, #3 runs across the field. Right under me. Should have known safety would follow him. I don't realize he is about to run into me until maybe a 100th of a second before he does. I instinctively just kind turn/lower my shoulder, kid hits the ground like a sack of potatoes.
