I have been a 'defensive' guy by default and by demeanor. I played defense and enjoy it, but I appreciate offenses quite a bit more and value them most. More games have been won by special teams than they are given credit for and the 'specialness' of them can turn seasons around.
With all that being said, I am uncontrollably drawn to the defensive side of the ball despite my appreciation and liking of the power of offense and moving the chains. The X's & O's of football - the power of holding the chalk last - I feel, lies so much on the offense, I often wonder why our defense isn't taken advantage of more often.
Having played offense only in HS, and never coordinating an offense, though I've done plenty of coaching and study on offense (OL/QB/WR)...I guess I've never developed a comfort zone with offense yet. There are no cliff notes in this profession, are there?

offense guy here
when I get to know secondary stuff the way I want to, I would be comfortable being a dc though, as messing up ol blocking schemes is something I know a thing or two about

i'm an offense guy. i love looking at how to attack defenses. defense doesn't come naturally to me for some reason. i really have to study and prepare more for defense than i do on offense.
