what would you guys consider being "prepared"? Knowing who is going to be on the inteview commitee? things like that?

I always try and find out if I can. I assume a principal, AD, a coach, a member of the school board, and maybe a booster. But it does not change how I interview. If you are yourself it does not matter who you interview in front of. A big thing for me in terms of being prepared is to know the history of the program and the conference. Also know what type of school you are dealing with. Another thing is if you have experience interviewing you know the questions they will ask (in general) so you don't get caught off guard. If you have not interviewed before ask your AD for a list of questions they ask and prepare your answers. You don't want to sound "canned" but you do not want to sound as if you have thought about these things before.

Knowing what your in for is a have to, if you know the history great what are the kids like?what is the school size? I walked into a school that had tons of problems admin, ect. you might find out why the other hc is gone. I think if i had of known what I was dealing with this last season i would of stayed at home. Knowning that I will becareful next time. Have a plan ready coach calande has a great program manual if you haven't looked at it i would get it he has alot of things in it I never thought about. Good Luck!!!!
