Guys how many of you rely soley on videofor you opponent breakdown? Or rely on only actual game scouting, or lastly both?
What do you recommend? And who does the game scouts?

SOLEY ON VIDEO.....the 'scout' is a former coach (teacher) who offers his opinion....but I'll be the judge of what the opponent is (like to get 1 - 3 games of opponent near the end of the season).
We dont' have tape exchange here, either....so devoting the resources to scout each week is a pain.

Because I haven't had a reliable and willing game scout, ours has been solely video scouting.

we send scouts to games but the info packet i have them fill out has less to do with the actual game that can been seen on video & more about intangibles that film won't pick up. i'm not interested in hearing from them what x's & o's schemes the opponent was doing. i'll get all i need off film. but, i like to know some other things (sideline organization, relaying of signals, etc.) that i can't get from the video. but, all our game plan is pretty much based solely on the film breakdown.
p.s. i won't take this opportunity to pitch dsv again, but, um, you guys might want to click the link and look for yourself...lol
