I was wondering what some of you guys do for fundraisers? I need to get raise money for my school and I live in an area high in poverty so I can't sell things to the parents or community very well. Any ideas? Thanks.

The sports arenas in Minneapolis allow organizations to work in their concession stands as a fundraiser. The group gets a portion of the profits. We have had groups from my school work at the Metrodome and Excel Energy Center. Valleyfair (amusement park--similar to Six Flags) also allows organizations to work odd jobs at the park. If you bring a group of 20-25, Valleyfair will pay your organization $1250 and they get free passes for the last four hours it is open. A great idea but we have tried every year for the past four years. They have limited slots available and many organizations apply. Our community loves it because they are fundraised like crazy. Try these avenues if you have anything similar in your area.
