Coaches, How many of you all use false keys to influence the defense? How often do you show false keys? Has it worked well for you? Why and why not?

Coach we use false keys. they only worked against certain teams. We found that alot of the defenses we faced weren't disciplined enough for them to work. This year we came up with tags so that we can do it to defenses that are disciplined. We are going to mix them in here and there. I will run a few early and see how they react to them to determine how much to use them.

We use the old Hugh Wyatt trick and pull both guards in opposite directions. Doesnt always work but when it does its well worth it. It was said before but most defense just aren't disciplined enough for it to be succesfull.

Used this one before. We played a team that read guards, we did this first half and hit them FB dive up the middle all 1st half. They were a 50 team and they were number 3 in our state.
2nd half, the LB's stayed when the guards pulled so we buck sweeped them all night.
we had 320 yards rushing and they had only been giving up 85. we won 32-27. But they got the last laugh we got put out in the playoffs 2nd round and they made it to the semifinals.
