I am a young head coach and am wanting to find a more efficient way of practicing both offense and defense every day. I was just wondering if anyone is willing to share a typical day and or their entire weekly practice plan.

Here is what we do on an average Tueday or Wednesday.
15 minutes Warm up
20 minutes Special Teams
45 minutes Offense
5 minutes Water
45 minutes Defense
10 minutes Special Teams
After practice film and lift

thanks coach,
the proble occurs on wednesday for us. we are in a very religious area so we can oly practice until 5:30 so everyone can attend church. so with school getting over at 3:15 we lose some valuable time.
also when do your team lift during season. we do not have a weights class during the day.

Varisty/ Freshmen lift Monday and Wednesday after practice and JV lifts Tuesday and Thursday after practice.

MON - JVs and Frosh play Vars - 20 min technique work 20 min - conditioning 30 min - video 20 min - O walk through 20 min- D walk through Lift
TUES 15 min - warm up 20 min - kicking game / OLine Work as most aren't on specialties 50 min - Vars/JV on Defense / Frosh and Sophs on Offense ..............20 min indo and combo ..............15 min Group ..............15 min Team 45 min - Switch O and D ..............15 min indo and combo ..............15 min Group ..............15 min Team 10 min - Condition 15 min - Vars Lift
WED Repeat TUES with Vars/JV starting on the O side of the ball
THUR 10 - Warm up 30 - Kicking / OLine work on blitz pickups and review all fronts 15 - O vs. Air 15 - D vs. alignments / assignment review
FRI Frosh 60 min practice Varsity Gamenight
SAT Ice and Video. Players get doughnuts when we win. When they lose, they bring their own doughnuts.
