have no idea. the one year i ran the wing t it had simple calls....
te/wing right was.......RIGHT.
wanted the wing to move out to a flanker it was......RIGHT PRO
pretty darn simple, eh?
have taken that "philosophy", if you will, to the terminology we use now in naming our formations.

Actually, if they are "true" wing-T guys there are no formation names. They use numbers i.e. 100/900 are the standard se,te,tight wb, that is associated with the Wing-T. They then have plays called with the formation, back series, and the point of attack. the words are to help the line know what blocking scheme to use. i.e 131 bucksweep/939 bucksweep. Also, under the Delaware system, the use numbers straight across instead of odds left, evens right. Find the system too clunky for me to use, BUT had to learn it so I knew what the hell they were talking about. Most of the other stuff you hear...I.e. colors things like that is due to translation of "traditional" wing-T stuff into their own language, or something that is easier for them or their players to remember. For example in youth ball, I am not going to expect my kids to know 9 series of back movement. We just give them a formation, the ball carrier, and the point of attack, then use a word to describe the back motion and blocking in one. i.e. Trap, Option, Sweep, Power.
