What's the best way to prevent paint chipping on helmets during practice?
By our 14th game last year, some kids' lids looked like a map of Pangea.
Have seen some colleges who practice with what appears to be a seran wrap stuck to the crown of the helmet.
Please advise!

there use to be a company out there that had a clear vinyl sticker that stuck on the helmet above the face mask and went back about four or five inches that was supposed to protect the paint, probably still make them

FYI: I would be very careful what I put on a helmet. Many helmet manufacturers (Riddell for one) say that they will not be responsible for any injury that occurs after anything was added to the helmet or they did not put on the helmet.
