Hey, I was asking myself this question today after such a poor season I had this year what would I do differently? I am already moving back to my beloved Grass Valley, CA, but as for coaching I have learned that I have still got some bad habits that need correcting first I really need to get a handle on my play calling my signals are weak and I tend to talk to loud to the QB. The other thing is keeping my defense simple yet effective, too many changes with responsibility created some confusion and I think sticking to my key players instead of rotations will help also. What will help you, If you have any ideas let me know...Thanks

tackling, winning third down and causing turnovers (all things we didn't do this year)

*develop better character & work ethic (this off-season & build on it year-round) *"start over" in building the blocks of the offense (when we came in we were pressed for time and skipped some steps and/or didn't teach all the minute details needed) -- we need to fully understand the offense and how block B builds upon block A.........so, starting over with block A & getting back to the detailed progression of our installation *work, train, & develop the quarterbacks from 7th grade on up -- this year was difficult in that we were pressed for time and were concerned more about getting this years seniors ready to play within our system -- now it's time to really hammer this thing home to everyone *focus on the little things - don't neglect any detail of the game....from stance, alignment, technique, ,,, real basic & build upwards.
