I don't think I have ever shared this but it serves as a good lesson. In 2014 I had a senior heavy offensive line that was really good. 3out of 5 played in college. My left tackle was very frustrating for me though. He was probably the most talented but just didn't have the desire to be really good. Well we go over some adjustments during Indy and when we get to team he messes it up. I correct him on the fly again and on the next play he does it again. So I said, Dadgummit Tristan what are you freaking deaf?
then one of the coaches says , "well actually coach he is legally deaf." Dude wore hearing aids but kept his hair long so you couldn't see them. I had no idea but it all made sense then. Then I was pissed that nobody told me.
