Ok coaches;
I am starting to deleve into the dark side of the force and need to find any info or (preferably) game tapes showing me this offense in action.
ALso, anyone knowledgeable in this offense I would really like to pick your brain especially after reading the Simplified Single Wing book.
thanks

I ran it for one season with frosh...we rolled with it. we used our double wing blocking but direct snap to tb/fb/bb etc. worked great. ran a spinner series and dabbled with the buck series as well. have you gone to direct snap .com and the delphi sw forum?

thanks everyone for your responses.
Calande i have and i appreciate the reminder. i do have questions concerning the snap to the 4 back as he is moving. How is that and what keep s the other team from throwing a fit about legality (remember us fb coaches never read the rules lol)

as soon as the center begins to snap the ball the backs can start their movement just as in any offense. alot of unbalanced line sw teams will have the center "lead" the backs on the powers and sweeps. we played balanced line sw for a variety of reasons (mainly to keep the dw blocking schemes in tact) and didnt lead our backs.

Contact Coach Ragsdale at sragsdal@mail.gilesk12.org. Giles (VA) runs it to perfection. They are primarily a one formation, unbalanced SW team. He sent me some stuff (game film, playbook) for a minimal fee and it helped a lot.

Here is Coach Ragsdale's contact he sent me:
"Due to the fact that I get so many requests for information on the Single Wing(you would be surprised how many), I am charging a $25 fee for a video tape and a short playbook.
The tape will include highlights from our 1993 State Championship season, and highlights from the 2000 season in which we advanced to the state semi-finals. It will also include entire individual games from a variety of seasons in which we had excellent offensive performances.
The playbook will include all of our offensive sets and backfield series, as well as our basic blocking schemes at the different points of attack against an even and an odd defense. Also included will be our basic pass plays.
If you want to receive these materials, I need you to mail a videotape with a self-addressed envelope(large enough for a tape and playbook) and a check made out to":
